A guided fatbike hike to the trail of the "Singing Ogre" in Äänekoski during snowless season
The trip will take you through the Singing Ogres trail, spanning through middle finnish lakeside trails and gravel roads in Sumiainen. The trail passes the villages of Syvälahti, Lohilahti and Vihijärvi, passing through forests and hills, up to the mountains that reveal massive views over the forests.
In these parts, from the ancient times, villagers have resorted the the many waterways to socialize and do trading with surrounding villages along with the many routes through the more easily traversable terrain. This network of trails still exist thanks to the volunteers keeping them in good shape. These days these routes are marked for the leisure of all who wish to come enjoy historical sceneries at their best!
Distance covered on the trip is approximately 15 kilometers. Before we begin, we will teach the basics of trailbiking and give tips on how to stay safe in the terrain.
Starting point: Syvälahti former school parking lot.
